THE PROPHECIES CONCERNING
THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL

OUTLINE
- Jeremiah’s prophecy concerning the restoration of Israel:
- Jehovah promising to restore Israel:
- Jehovah gathering the remnant of His flock out of the lands where He has driven them.
- Jehovah raising up shepherds over them who will feed them.
- Jehovah raising up to David a righteous Shoot, Christ, who will reign as King and act prudently and will execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
- In His days Judah being saved, Israel dwelling securely, and Christ’s name being called Jehovah our righteousness.
- Jehovah turning the captivity of the tents of Jacob and having compassion on his dwelling places:
- The city being rebuilt on its mound, and the palace being inhabited after its own manner.
- The city of Jerusalem being built unto Jehovah.
- The word being said when Jehovah turns again Israel’s captivity.
- Jehovah satisfying the weary soul and filling every languishing soul.
- Jehovah sowing the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.
- Jehovah causing Israel to multiply and exist forever:
- Their children being as they were of old.
- The seed of Israel not ceasing from being a nation before Jehovah forever.
- Jehovah not casting off the seed of Israel for all they have done.
- Jehovah making a new covenant with Israel:
- Jehovah putting His law within them and writing it upon their hearts.
- Jehovah being their God, and they being His people.
- They no longer teaching each man his neighbor or each man his brother, for all will know Him.
- Jehovah forgiving their iniquity and remembering their sin no more.
- Restoring the holy city and the holy land:
- Jehovah bringing the city of Jerusalem recovery and healing.
- There being heard in the city of Jerusalem the voice of gladness.
- In the holy land there being a habitation of shepherds making their flock lie down, and the flock again passing under the hand of the one who counts them.
- Jehovah not breaking His covenant with David or with the Levites nor rejecting them:
- Jehovah establishing the good word which He has spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.
- Jehovah never breaking His covenant with David His servant.
- Jehovah multiplying the seed of David His servant and the Levites His ministers.
- Ezekiel’s prophecy concerning the restoration of Israel:
- The promise of restoring Israel:
- God setting up David as a shepherd over them.
- God making a covenant of peace with them.
- Making Israel a blessing.
- God being the God of Israel, and Israel being His people.
- Jehovah cleansing Israel and giving them a new heart and a new spirit.
- The holy temple, the holy land, and the holy city being recovered.

In this lesson we will continue to speak on the prophecies in the books of the prophets concerning the restoration of Israel, focusing on the prophecies in the books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
B. Jeremiah’s Prophecy
concerning the Restoration of Israel
1. Jehovah Promising to Restore Israel
The prophet Jeremiah prophesied concerning Jehovah’s promises to restore Israel (23:3-8).
