- Being made sin on our behalf.
- Having only the likeness of the flesh of sin but not the poisonous element of sin.
- Condemning sin through His crucifixion in the flesh.
- The one hanging on a tree:
- Being one who sinned.
- Being one who was cursed.
- Typifying Christ:
- Hanging on the tree for us who sin and deserve death.
- Suffering the curse of death for us sinners who deserve death.
- That we might receive the Spirit promised by God.
- The hind of the dawn:
- Typifying the resurrected Christ.
- Fresh and active.
- A young hart:
- Having fellowship with us.
- Coming back to meet with us.
- The bridegroom and the bride:
- Typifying Christ and the church.
- In His resurrection:
- Christ being lovely as the Bridegroom.
- Obtaining the church as the bride.
