OUTLINE
- The history of the children of Israel:
- Wandering:
- Going out of Egypt and arriving at Mount Horeb.
- From Mount Horeb to Kadesh-barnea.
- From Kadesh-barnea to the east bank of the Jordan River.
- Falling dead:
- Wandering until they fell dead in the wilderness.
- Not being allowed to enter into the promised good land.
- Crossing the Jordan River:
- The second generation receiving renewed training.
- Qualified to cross the Jordan River.
- Entering into Canaan:
- Defeating the enemies.
- Taking possession of the good land.
- Becoming a kingdom and building the temple.
- Being taken into captivity:
- Forsaking God to worship idols.
- Being captured to the nations.
- Returning:
- Seventy years after the captivity.
- Rebuilding the holy temple and the holy city.
- The repetition in the history of the church.
