THE FURNITURE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE THE TABERNACLE
OUTLINE
- The furniture outside the tabernacle:
- The bronze laver:
- Typifying the Holy Spirit given based on the judgment at the cross:
- Bronze signifying God’s judgment.
- The laver being made of bronze mirrors, signifying the Holy Spirit as the judging Spirit having the reflecting power.
- The priests in their ministry first having to be washed in the laver, signifying the believers in their service to God first having to wash away their uncleanness in the Holy Spirit.
- The bronze altar:
- Typifying the cross of Christ:
- Sinners needing to pass through the altar to enter the tabernacle.
- The altar redeeming sinners from their sins and dealing with their sins.
- The altar being overlaid with bronze plates made of the burnt censers used by the rebellious ones.
- The altar being in the outer court of the tabernacle, signifying the cross of Christ being accomplished on the earth.
- The furniture inside the tabernacle:
- The table of the bread of the Presence.
- The golden lampstand.
- The golden incense altar.
- The ark:
- The golden pot that had the manna.
- Aaron’s rod that budded.
- The two tablets of the covenant.
