- The crossing of the Red Sea:
- (1) A type of baptism.
- (2) Saved through water.
- God’s supply:
- The heavenly manna—the reconstitution of His redeemed ones through a change of diet.
- The living water out of the smitten rock.
- God’s expression:
- The negative aspect of God’s giving of the law through Moses—the law coming in as an extra thing, being added because of man’s transgressions.
- The positive aspect of God’s giving of the law through Moses—the law being God’s testimony.
- The manifestation of God’s glory.
- God’s leading:
- The education on Mount Sinai.
- The temptation in the wilderness.
