    1. God’s redemption:
      1. The preparation of a vessel for redemption.
      2. The Passover:
        1. A type of Christ.
        2. The lamb of the Passover.
      3. The exodus from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea:
        1. The exodus from Egypt.
        2. The crossing of the Red Sea:
          1. (1) A type of baptism.
          2. (2) Saved through water.
    2. God’s supply:
      1. The heavenly manna—the reconstitution of His redeemed ones through a change of diet.
      2. The living water out of the smitten rock.
    3. God’s expression:
      1. The negative aspect of God’s giving of the law through Moses—the law coming in as an extra thing, being added because of man’s transgressions.
      2. The positive aspect of God’s giving of the law through Moses—the law being God’s testimony.
      3. The manifestation of God’s glory.
    4. God’s leading:
      1. The education on Mount Sinai.
      2. The temptation in the wilderness.
