FROM ADAM TO NOAH
OUTLINE
- In Adam is seen God’s redemption:
- Receiving the promise of God’s redemption.
- Experiencing the anticipated redemption of God:
- Through the substitution of the bleeding sacrifice.
- Through the union of the covering skins.
- In Abel is seen God’s way of redemption—acceptance by God through the sacrifice:
- Abel working and living for God—“a feeder of sheep.”
- Abel worshipping God according to God’s revelation.
- In Enosh is seen man’s need for God and man’s calling upon Him to enjoy God’s riches.
- In Enoch is seen one who was redeemed and who walked with God on the pathway of redemption.
- In Noah is seen one who walked with God and worked with God to meet the need of that generation:
- Walking with God.
- Building the ark.
- Changing the age through his life and work.
