THE FATHER’S STRENGTHENING AND CHRIST’S MAKING HOME

OUTLINE

1. The Father’s strengthening-v. 16:
   1. According to the riches of His glory.
   2. Through His Spirit.
   3. With power.
   4. To be strengthened into the inner man.
2. Christ’s making His home-vv. 17-19:
   1. Through faith.
   2. In our hearts.
   3. Rooted and grounded in love.
   4. Strong to apprehend with all the saints the breadth and length and height and depth.
   5. To know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ.
   6. That we may be filled by the Triune God unto all the fullness (expression) of God.
3. The apostle’s conviction-vv. 20-21:
   1. God is able.
   2. According to the power which operates in us.
   3. To do superabundantly.
   4. Above all that we ask or think.
   5. To God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.
