- The divine power of God-2 Pet. 1:3:
- Through our knowing the One who has called us through His own glory and virtue.
- Having given to us all things which relate to life and godliness:
- Life being the inward divine supply-with God as life.
- Godliness being the outward divine expression-God lived out.
- The precious promises of the Lord-2 Pet. 1:4:
- Through His glory and virtue.
- The Lord having granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises.
- That we having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust.
- That through these promises we might become partakers of the divine nature.
- Our diligent cooperation-2 Pet. 1:5-11:
- Upon the seed of the like precious faith allotted to us, through six steps, developing to the love which is God-2 Pet. 1:1, 5-7.
- Constituting us neither idle nor unfruitful-2 Pet. 1:8.
- Making our calling and selection firm-2 Pet. 1:10.
- Being richly and bountifully supplied to enter into the eternal kingdom of the Lord-2 Pet. 1:11.
