THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN

Scripture: Rev. 5:6, 9; 1:5; 7:14, 17; 13:8

1. The Lamb is Christ
   1. Christ came to redeem men.
   2. Christ’s redemption was accomplished through His coming as the Lamb of God. As the Lamb He was slain and His blood was shed for men.
2. To be slain is to be crucified
   1. Christ was crucified on the cross because He bore man’s sins.
   2. Christ was crucified to satisfy God’s righteous requirement.
3. The effectiveness of the Lamb’s being slain
   1. It enables us to depart from sins.
   2. It washes us clean and white.
   3. It qualifies us to receive the life of God.
4. How to obtain the Lamb that was slain
   1. Confess that He was slain for you.
   2. Receive Him as your Savior.
