THERE IS ONE GOD AND ONE MEDIATOR

Scripture: 1 Tim. 2:5

  1. There is only one God
    1. As there cannot be two heads in a household or two kings in a nation, so there cannot be two Gods in the universe.
    2. This God is the Creator and the Ruler of the universe. He is also the Savior of mankind.
  2. There is only one mediator
    1. In human history there have been many wise and famous men, yet not one has claimed to be, nor has been recognized as, a mediator between God and man.
    2. Only Jesus Christ said that He is the mediator between God and man. The Bible says that He is the one, the only mediator.
  3. How Jesus became the mediator
    1. He was God coming as man. He had both divinity and humanity, so He was qualified to be the mediator between God and man.
    2. He was crucified and His blood was shed for our sins to remove the hindrance between God and man. So He became the mediator between God and man.
    3. He resurrected and imparted His life to man so that man could have God’s life and be one with God. Through this process He became the mediator between God and man.
  4. How to receive Jesus as your mediator
    Develop this point.
