GOD’S SPIRIT OF LIFE BECOMING THE WAY FOR US TO SERVE IN THE CHURCH LIFE

Scripture Reading: Eph. 4:4a; 1 Cor. 12:1-11, 13; Rom. 14:17; Eph. 3:16-17, 19

OUTLINE

1. God’s Spirit of life being the essence of the church, the Body-Eph. 4:4a:
   1. We having been baptized into one Body in this Spirit as the essence-1 Cor. 12:13a.
   2. We being made now to drink of this essential Spirit of God-1 Cor. 12:13b.
2. God’s Spirit of life being the power in the church life-Rom. 14:17:
   1. For us to live in the reality of the kingdom.
   2. For us to live out righteousness and peace in joy.
3. God’s Spirit of life filling the believers to become the church with the full-grown stature as the fullness, the expression of God-Eph. 3:16-17, 19:
   1. Strengthening the believers’ inner man.
   2. That Christ may make home in the believers’ heart.
4. God’s Spirit of life as the source of all gifts and functions in the service of the church, the Body- 1 Cor. 12:1-11:
   1. As the Dispenser of all gifts.
   2. As the factor in all coordination.
