ONE SPIRITUAL, PRACTICAL,
AND EXPERIENTIAL UNION

OUTLINE

1. Of the Spirit of life, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ (the pneumatic Christ), and the Spirit of resurrection indwelling our spirit—Rom. 8:2, 9-11:
1. To free us from the law of sin and death, releasing us from the lusts of the flesh by the law of life—8:2; 7:17-25.
2. To give life to our mortal bodies and to put to death the practices of the body—8:11b, 13b.
2. With our spirit, the regenerated spirit of the believers in Christ indwelt by the Spirit—8:16a, 11b:
1. To witness that we are children of God, even heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, possessing the spirit of sonship to cry, "Abba, Father"—8:16-17a, 15.
2. To pray with groanings by the interceding Spirit—8:26.
3. Forming a mingled spirit—8:4-5:
1. He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit—1 Cor. 6:17.
2. By the mutual abiding of the Spirit with our spirit—Rom. 8:11b; 1 John 3:24.
