- Presenting Christ as the peace offering to the Father:
- The portions of the peace offering:
- To God:
- From the ox3:3-5:
- 1) The fat upon the inwards.
- 2) The two kidneys and the fat on them.
- 3) The caul (net) above the liver.
- From the sheep or lamb 3:9-11:
- 1) The same as from the ox.
- 2) Plus the whole fat tail.
- From the goatthe same as from the ox3:14-16.
- To the offering priest:
- One cake as a heave offering unto the Lord7:14.
- The right thigh as a heave offering unto the Lord7:32-34.
- To all the prieststhe breast as a wave offering7:30-31, 34.
- To the offerer:
- The flesh (meat) of the cattle 7:15-18:
- 1) Of the peace offering for thanksgiving good for eating on the offering dayv. 15.
- 2) Of the peace offering for a vow or a voluntary offering good for eating for two daysvv. 16-18.
- Cakes7:12-13:
- 1) Unleavened cakesthin cakes with holesmingled with oil.
- 2) Unleavened, hollow wafers anointed with oil.
- 3) Cakes of fine flour saturated and mingled with oil.
- 4) Leavened bread.
- To others7:19-21:
- The flesh of the cattle.
- Cleanness being required.
Focus: Christ as the peace offering offered by us to the Father is for the enjoyment of God and all the parties participating in the worship in the dispensing of God.
